Oh okay, based on that article explained that there is controversy or common people got different meaning in a sentece because they would define it from different angles and different aspects. Ex: "My brother is a heavy smoker" is doesn't mean "a smoker who is heavy" but corect meaning is "the one who smokes heavily"
HapusHi Cendy. First of all, your ppt is quite good. but, i read your ppt twice still can't get the point of Bloomfield theory. What i get just Bloomfield theory similar with speech act theory. Because u said that “the situation in which the speaker utters it and the response which it calls forth in the hearer.”

HapusThankyou for the comments, and suggestion sonia. The first, it means " people can get diferent meaning from a sentence depends on situation". Second, I think my ppt is really good to make the readers understand what I meant. And finally for your suggestion, I put explanation on my ppt based on article, research and quotes of experts, not only google.
